Contrary to the weather forecast, we had a lovely warm day with no showers working on the finishing stages of the Rauceby Warren drystone wall. We have been working on this ongoing task for a good many years and Colin, the drystone wall expert, has been working on it for 9 or 10 years since it began and he expects it to be finished later in August some time.
We had seven of us on the task, including Ian and Kay, two new volunteers. We worked alongside Sophie the Ranger from the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and of course Colin. We made a good impression on the wall and all enjoyed ourselves and felt pride in our contribution to the wall.
