There was a full complement of volunteers at this first task day back after lockdown 2. We braved the cold to tackle the new wildflower meadow planted at the top of the site, taking out unwanted wormwood and nettles, and scything the summer's growth back, ready for next year. A few of us also sifted a pile of brash, ready for composting, and pulled emerging nettle shoots from newly-laid 'fedges'.
Our thanks to Trudy Norris from Green Synergy for keeping us company and supplying the cakes! An enjoyable day at a thoroughly lovely, local site.
